503 workshop is hella awesome. i said hella, i know, it’s my blog and i can do what i wantttttt! anyways. jessica the fierce, awesome, talented, hilarious mind behind this workshop. she has a new gig she is offering and i think you should jump on board.

her and her husband’s story and love and sweet precious little family are TO DIE FOR. i feel like she is one of my dearest friends and i may or may not cry over some of her posts and pictures of her baby. that’s not important though. so if you have no need to take her workshop then stalk her blog. you wont regret it. she didn’t pay me to say this, pinky swear.

when my sweet friend breen asked me to consider doing this i couldn’t say no.

jamie greeted me with an anxious exciting hug. when we said goodbye she gave me a hug that i could literally feel all her stress, anxiousness, and worry go away. it was pure relief.

jamie has been waiting for 251 days to hug her precious husband. today after delayed flight after delayed flight she has him home for a short 10 days.

jamie and scott. thank you for letting me be apart of something so special, intimate and amazing.

scott, thank you for sacrificing your life for our country. i’ve never been more thankful for our military and their families as i am right this second.

enjoy your well deserved honeymoon.

my snow day 2k11. 8 plus inches. what a glorious sight.

but we are. 2011. here we go.

2010 you have been good to me. real good. i never could have imagined that this year would have been so exciting standing at the avett brothers concert last december 31st when the clock struck midnight.

i am beyond excited to see what 2011 will bring and how much more i will learn about this crazy world of running my own business full time.

so to the clients who hired me in 2010. thank you, THANK YOU THANK YOU. i can’t thank you enough for trusting me and allowing me to share in your special days.

i had an incredible time getting to know you during the planning process and seeing everything come together on your big day.

to my family and friends who have loved me and been my biggest cheerleaders. you guys rock my face off and i REALLY couldn’t do this without your love, support, laughter and advice.

i wouldn’t be able to do this without all of you guys. cross my heart.

i would have never guessed at the ripe age of 25 that i would be running my own business full time. a week before my birthday i quit my 9-5 job that was an hour and ten minutes away from my house. i gave up spending more time in my car then i did with family and friends i gave up a bi-weekly paycheck. i gave up wearing bermuda shorts and a blouse from jcrew or khakis and a cardigan. i gave up sitting in a backroom surrounded by golf clothes and trying to figure out what i was going to do with them besides wanting to burn them because i had been staring at them for 2 years. i gave that all up to walking into the room next to my bedroom and editing/learning/researching and truly being happy. i feel like i definitely got the better end of the deal. i’ve never once been scared, nervous or fearful of failing in this journey the past couple weeks. it actually scares me more that i’m not nervous and this confident in my decision to do photography full time.

if you would have asked me if i would wake myself up at 730 am every morning and drag my butt to the gym and be back and sit at my computer and hardcore work all day and sometimes skip lunch or not eat until 230, i would have told you, you were crazy. its never felt so good to have my parents as my part time employers, running out of business cards because they pass them out to everyone they see, meet and know.

so that is where i am at in my quarter of a century wee little life right now. i’m ready to jump into, hopefully, another 25 years.

this summer has been more amazing then i could have ever imagined. this time last year i didnt have a single wedding booked for 2010. and now its a whole new ballpark. with 2011 filling up quickly i’m in complete awe. so to my summer 2010 brides. thank you for trusting me and letting me be apart of your day. and thank you thank you for passing my name along. i’ve had a blast getting to know you and your families in this process.

so cheers to jumping into photography full time. cheers to not being scared and walking confidently in this decision i made for myself.

and cheers to you followers, past clients, future clients etc for letting me live out this dreamworld.
